A frameless glass roof terrace in Woodford

The design brief.

Guard the flat-roof terrace above the glazed ground-floor extension without interrupting the clean parapet line of the brickwork, and keep the open views over the surrounding gardens and woodland from the first-floor bedrooms.

A coordinated approach.

Frameless laminated safety-glass panels sit on the terrace parapet with a discreet base detail, so the glass reads as a continuation of the roof line. Panel joints were set out to align with the doors and gable windows below, keeping the elevation calm.
