Frameless glass terraces on a Victorian villa extension — Manchester Balustrades installation

A genuine Manchester Balustrades installation.

The design brief.

The extension adds glazed first-floor terraces at two levels around a light-filled modern volume. Each edge needed compliant guarding that disappears against the sliding glass doors and keeps the garden views open.

A coordinated approach.

Frameless laminated safety-glass panels are fixed at each terrace edge with the fixing detail coordinated with the parapets and door thresholds, so the glass reads as a continuation of the glazing rather than an added barrier.

  • Frameless glass balustrades at two terrace levels
  • Glazing line aligned with sliding doors and parapets
  • Fixing details coordinated with the terrace construction

Applying the idea to your building.

No two sites share exactly the same structure, geometry or access conditions. This example shows a design direction, not a ready-made specification. A survey and project-specific coordination establish the glass build-up, fixing arrangement and installation plan for your property.
