The design brief.
Give the first-floor gable room a private balcony with open views, while keeping the strong lines of the stonework, render and dark window frames undisturbed.
A coordinated approach.
A frameless laminated safety-glass balustrade runs across the balcony with a slim handrail, fixed to the stone-clad structure below. The glass line, panel joints and handrail were coordinated with the window frames and parapet so the balcony reads as one clean elevation.
- Frameless laminated safety-glass balustrade with a slim handrail
- Fixing coordinated with the stone-clad parapet structure
- Panel joints aligned with the window and gable lines
