The design brief.
The terrace wraps the first floor of a substantial brick residence, looking out over formal gardens, a fountain and a tennis court. The balustrade had to provide compliant edge protection along the full perimeter while disappearing against the skyline and the mature Cheshire grounds.
A coordinated approach.
Frameless laminated safety-glass panels run along the terrace perimeter with slim fixings and discreet joints, so the glass reads as a clear extension of the roofline. Every panel sits flush to the parapet line to keep the view over the gardens, lake fountain and court uninterrupted.
- Frameless glass balustrade around the full roof terrace
- Laminated safety glass to the parapet line
- Open views retained over the formal gardens and grounds
