Frameless glass on a stone-walled terrace in Lymm — Manchester Balustrades installation

A genuine Manchester Balustrades installation.

The design brief.

The terrace sits on a new sandstone wall with level changes on every side and a full-width opening to the orangery, so the guarding had to follow the stonework closely, turn the corners without posts and keep the Cheshire countryside fully in view.

A coordinated approach.

Frameless toughened glass panels are fixed along the stone coping in a slim channel, following the terraces, the orangery reveal and the stepped section as one continuous run — the low wall and glass together guard the drops without cluttering the stonework.

  • Glass guarding beside the garden steps with open countryside views

Applying the idea to your building.

No two sites share exactly the same structure, geometry or access conditions. This example shows a design direction, not a ready-made specification. A survey and project-specific coordination establish the glass build-up, fixing arrangement and installation plan for your property.
