The design brief.
The new deck sits well above the lawn and is reached by a full-width flight of steps, so every open edge — including both sides of the stairs — needed guarding without interrupting the view over the garden or clashing with the bifold doors and brick extension.
A coordinated approach.
Slim stainless posts carry standoff-mounted toughened glass panels with a round stainless top rail along the deck edges, and the same system rakes down the stepped balustrade so the whole installation reads as one continuous line from deck to lawn.
- Stainless post stand-off glass with round top rail
- Matching balustrade following both sides of the garden steps
- Fixed cleanly to the deck frame beside full-width sliding doors
