A glass garden terrace in Glossop — Manchester Balustrades installation

A genuine Manchester Balustrades installation.

The design brief.

A large two-storey rear extension created a raised terrace above the garden on three sides. The balustrade had to follow the terrace levels, turn the corners cleanly and cope with an occupied building site while other trades finished around it.

A coordinated approach.

Stainless posts with standoff fixings and a round handrail carry toughened and laminated glass panels around the terrace edge. The handrail line steps with the decking levels so the finished terrace reads as one continuous edge.

  • Stainless post-and-glass balustrade with round handrail
  • Standoff fixings along the timber deck and brick terrace walls
  • Corner returns and level changes set out on site

Applying the idea to your building.

No two sites share exactly the same structure, geometry or access conditions. This example shows a design direction, not a ready-made specification. A survey and project-specific coordination establish the glass build-up, fixing arrangement and installation plan for your property.
